Is the cost of education fast becoming a bigger gamble while America mires in governmental mismanagement?
I wondered about this the last few years I worked at the university. Most students are heavily in debt with student loans and if they didn't get a job with their bachelor's degree many would return to school to get a master's degree, more debt on top of what they already owed. Some never found a job in their field after graduation and would take whatever job they could get to start paying off loans. And one thing that added to the debt was that if a student ever got a scholarship through the financial aid office, that office would take a percentage as a handling charge. That started after I began working there and have always thought it was unfair to the students.
